This deliverable presents a stakeholder analysis to identify the specific stakeholder needs on the market for enhancing the smartness of existing buildings. The goal of this report is to provide insights for the user-centered design and development processes within the project, in particular for the Smart2B services (WP4) and user interfaces (WP5) as well as for the validation of the business cases (T1.5).

In an iterative discussion process, we identified four main groups of stakeholders for the Smart2B project: End Users; Technology Providers; Communities; Energy Services; Building owners; Facility managers.

The objective of this deliverable is to explore and define the functional requirements of the Smart Performance Assessment & Advisor (SPA&A) prior to its further implementation in WP4. In this context, this deliverable is mainly focused on gathering the insights on the state-of-the-art approaches that: identify benchmarks that can be used to measure the performance in each impact area according to the smart readiness indicator (SRI); identify methodologies that can be used to communicate the impact to the end-users; define the system performance thresholds that trigger occupant feedback; and define the type of feedback that will be provided.

The purpose of this deliverable is to present a report where the Smart2B system ICT modules are identified and their functionalities are defined, including their functional and non-functional requirements. Also, the overall system architecture of the Smart2B concept has been defined; the modules that will be developed in WP2-WP5 have been grouped in several interconnected functional layers.

This report has the main objective of defining and describing the Smart2B Use Cases. This report will define the high-level requirements and specifications for the early stage of Smart2B development and will serve as a basis for the work being developed in the remaining work packages (WP), especially WPs 2–6. At last, this document presents a mapping of the most important HLUCs that will be deployed in each demonstration site.

This report provides a list of potential customer segments, alogside with a list of current customer pains and needs, the benefits that Smart2B may provide, the Smart2B services required to be developed, and the barriers to a potential Smart2B adoption by customers. This reports also explores, through a review, one of the main market opportunities for Smart2B, that is related with the fact that most buildings may be potential users of the technology. For the development of the Smart2B business model and business cases and to promote an interactive discussion with partners during the meetings, the Business Model Canvas methodology was used in this report to define and better communicate the business idea that will guide and support Smart2B market deployment activities.

This deliverable presents Smart2B approach, developed in “T3.3 – Development of the User/Building Knowledge Extraction, AI4EU-based Algorithms and unified orchestration of building actions”, to create a building intelligence knowledge layer on Smart2B platform, designed to extract relevant building’s features, such as information about the building’s energy consumption, and to describe the links among data in the form of a Knowledge Graph. In addition, the unified translation component, that will act as manager for the high-level actuations received by Smart2B services WP, converting it into low-level commands for smart devices and local management systems in the building sites, was also described in this deliverable.

This deliverable details the functionalities, architecture, and the first prototypes designed for the Smart2B interactive applications. This deliverable focuses on defining the interactive applications architecture, including the front-end and the back-end sides, based on the requirements identified in WP1. In this deliverable, the design of the of the Smart2B interactive applications was also explored to define how the different components integrate with each other seamlessly. Finally, to test the look and feel of the application and its interaction design, a set of low-fidelity prototypes and mock-ups was produced, which were further tested on selected users.

The deliverable had a two-fold objective: on one side, the possible application scenarios for each KER have been analysed, aiming to potential individual exploitation strategies. On the other, the basic components of the whole Smart2b platform have been identified in view of the definition of the licensing agreements between KER owners and lead exploitation partner(s). This deliverable contains the description of 18 KERs from Smart2B partners, each of which has been thoroughly analysed and further commented. For each KER table, the approach was to guide each partner in the definition of the key features of the KER, then stimulating the discussion on several business-oriented topics, with the goal to identify possible application and exploitation routes.

This document has been designed to serve as a “living document” throughout Smart2B, guiding the communication and the dissemination actions, but it describes in a non-exhaustive way how the project will get in touch with the target audiences, as well as the channels and tools that will be used during the years of the project. There may be potential amendments and changes during the Smart2B’s lifetime to incorporate in the general strategy. Informal updates of the general strategy will be provided with the “Periodic Digital Dissemination Activities Report” (M12 – M24 – M36).

This deliverable addresses the need of Smart2B to develop the project’s online and offline promotional toolkit, composed by graphical materials such as project infographics, brochure, poster, roll-up, logo reveals (video format) and covers for the social media channels adopted by the project.

All the material presented within this deliverable aim to provide partners and press/media contacts with the necessary tools to ensure a wide and professional dissemination of Smart2B. A special section has been created on the Smart2B website to include the communication toolkit and make it accessible also to third parties.

The current document consists the first version of the D8.4 “Periodic Digital Dissemination Activities Report”, in M12 of the project lifecycle. It describes and assesses the results of the dissemination strategy defined in the “D8.1 – Dissemination and Communication Plan, including project identity”, over the period M1-M12.

During the first stage of the project, the goal was focused on raising awareness about the general project objectives. With this goal, the project website has been built and released as well as the social media channels were created, where a wide variety of news and events have been posted. The project initial outcomes have been spread through the newsletter and publication of several news on the website and social media pages. The outreach of Smart2B main outcomes during the first year of the project was maximized through the use of the several digital tools described in this deliverable, and the results achieved, in terms of subscribers and followers, are promising and reveal the increased impact of Smart2B in the target audiences.

The current document constitutes deliverable D8.3 Project Web and Social Media Presence and describes Smart2B’s website which was developed by CERTH in the beginning of the project for external communication purposes. The Smart2B website serves as one of the main communication tools used in the project as it includes all public materials, such as public deliverables, dissemination material (e.g. logo, brochures, posters), blog posts, newsletters, events, relevant initiatives and information regarding the pilot use cases of Smart2B. The website was designed to be easily detected by stakeholders using any search engine. The website was launched in the sixth month of the project (February 2022) and will be updated twice a month according to the developed communication plan of Smart2B which was presented in detail in deliverable D8.1.

This report also includes information about all started social media activities, put in place with the aim of inviting and disseminating project content to a wide audience, potentially interested in what Smart2B is working and producing.

The Project Management Plan (PMP) consolidates the detailed task level plans as presented and discussed during the project kick-off meeting. It contains a further detailing of the work-package and task descriptions of the Grant Agreement, and as such serves as the M2 baseline plan that will be the basis for the day-to-day internal planning and tracking of the project. It will serve as a quick and easy reference to the applied project management throughout the project lifetime, describing how the project is organized, managed, reported, and controlled. The PMP contains general project information, lists of key contacts, an overview of the project management structure, informs of project guidelines, risk management and internal procedures adopted in the project as well as financial management information.

This document corresponds to the deliverable Data Management and System Failure Management Plan (DMP) of the H2020 project Smart2B. The present deliverable establishes the framework under which Smart2B consortium will monitor, generate, process and collect data during project’s life cycle (that extends beyond the project duration) in compliance with the EC rules. Additionally, it will tackle how the data will be exploited or made accessible for verification and re-use, how the data will be curated and preserved after the project is completed, as well as the standards to be applied in this context.
